In 1975 I began work as a ghost penciller on Marvel Comics' British line. Aside from poster inserts, like the one below, my job was create new splash pages: the original Marvel issues were serialized into three chapters. Consequently, splash pages were needed for the second and third installments. In any week I could be doing pages for stories illustrated by Kirby, Ditko, Wrightson, Tuska, Andru, Starlin, et cetera. I sort of felt like Bill Elder on this job.
